By downloading, installing, or using Via Romana ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Via Romana is a step-tracking fitness application that gamifies walking by tracking your progress along virtual recreations of ancient Roman roads. The App uses your device's built-in step counter to measure your walking activity.

3. Purchase and License

Via Romana is a paid application. By purchasing the App through Google Play, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App on compatible devices for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your purchase is processed by Google Play and is subject to Google Play's Terms of Service. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the App; you are purchasing a license to use it.

4. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy. Generally, you may request a refund within 48 hours of purchase through Google Play. For refund requests outside this window, please contact Google Play support.

We cannot process refunds directly as all payments are handled by Google Play.

The App is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

Step counts and distance calculations are estimates based on your device's sensors and may not be completely accurate. Before beginning any exercise program, consult with your healthcare provider.

You assume all risks associated with your physical activity. Technoclassique is not responsible for any injuries or health issues that may arise from using the App or engaging in physical activity.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Technoclassique and protected by intellectual property laws.

Historical content, including Latin inscriptions from the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum (CIL), is presented for educational purposes. Original inscriptions are in the public domain; translations and presentations are provided by Technoclassique.

Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License, and the Classical Atlas of the Ancient World from the University of Iowa.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
